So, as I said in my blog earlier (a week ago now), I weighed myself and I was too beyond happy with the results that I got really slack with posting.
I always get this sense of slackness with sticking to being healthy the second someone tells me I've lost weight.
If someone mentions how much 'slimmer' I'm looking, or I'm looking like Ive lost some weight... immediately my brain goes "wow! its worked, I can eat something crap now" and then I slowly binge my way back to square one.

In the last week, I haven't eaten MUCH crap. Ive still been relatively healthy and active, but Ive just been non existent when it comes to posting because a part of me feels like I don't need to anymore. I don't need to prove to my 'diary' that I'm eating healthy. I can feel myself get slacker and slacker as the days go on.

BUT, I have just decided, that after Philippines, I will making my way to MYKONOS and IOS! So now I literally need to crack down and loser another 5kg so I can dance around in my bikini...... I'm dying with happiness.

I promise myself I will start trying to post everyday to help keep my fitness and clean eating on track.

Not much in my diet has changed, the last week has consisted of -
Salads
Chicken
Roasted muesli with low fat natural yoghurt
Frozen berries
Vegetable soup
Tuna on Rye vita with the usual cucumber and alfalfa.

And I've been super great with riding my bike to and from work every single day!

W E I G H - I N

Well... I have been slack on posting for the last 4 days or so... I have weighed in and the results have shocked me.

In my last blog with my I N T R O & R E V E A L I gave you my starting weight and measurements.
I must mention though that I am almost 6 foot tall so the starting 82kg doesn't look totally obese to anyone else but it sure felt it to me...

With my most recent weigh in and measurements, these are the compared results:

                              March 19th                          April 25th

Bicep                     11.5 inches                          11.5  inches

Bust                       38.5 inches                          37.5 inches

Waist                     32 inches                             29.5 inches

Hips                       38 inches                             36.5 inches

Thighs                   24 inches                             22.5 inches

Weight                   82 kg                                   76 kg

I'm pretty effing happy with the out come... I actually have no idea how I managed that much. I guess it's literally from just stopping binging on chocolate and bread and other un-necessary foods that your body doesn't need, and getting myself in the mind frame to eat clean along with a bit of exercise.

It just goes to show easy it is. Once you're in the mindset to eat clean, and once you see results such as I have, it makes me more determined to not eat crap.
Seeing on paper that I'm less 6kg and an average of 1.5 inches is giving me more a reason to put the damn chocolate down.

Ive tried all diets and fads... while they semi worked for a little bit, I gained the weight back even quicker and now that Ive done it the right way.. hopefully it will stay off.

I have exactly 6 weeks until I leave for Nepal and Philippines and a few more kilos to shed and I'm determined to try harder now!

I N T R O - R E V E A L

*** This was written 30ish days ago ***

Good morning!

I thought I would share with you a day by day diary of my weight loss journey. (I write this now I haven't started my journey yet but will post it at the end)
I want to record, for 30 days, my exact eating diary along with any form of exercise I do.. not including walking around the office.

My Story:
I had implanon contraception inserted into my arm last Dec 2012. It gave me severe migraines and vomiting for the first 2 weeks and I was fine after. My period came on the 3rd week.. and didn't stop for nearly 8 weeks.
I had had this problem before with implanon. In the 3rd and final year of implanon working, I got my period for 8 months.. why i let it drag on for so long I don't know.
So this time, after 7 weeks, I had had enough and got it taken out asap.
The problem is though, not only did implanon give me my period for so long, it put my appetite out of control. Like those few days before your cycle all you want is chocolate and junk food. This is how I felt every single fucking day.
All I wanted to eat was chocolate, and sitting next to a box of chocolates that sell for $1 at work definitely doesn't help.
It also completely decreased my energy levels. I never had energy in the morning when I woke up or when I got home after work. I stopped riding my bike to and from work and I stopped going to the gym which I had previously going about 4-5 days a week.
I WAS on the road to fit and healthy, until I got implanon put in.
After I had it removed, it still has taken almost 3 weeks for the effects to wear off completely.
Today is probably the first day I could look at that box of chocolate and say NO!
I have a holiday to Nepal and the Philippines coming up in June/July and i WANT to be able to freely share all my pics of me in a bikini on facebook without sifting through the ones i look slightly fat, or bulgy, or bloated in.
I don't want to have to worry when my photos taken about which pose will best hide my stomach.
My sudden burst of motivation today finally was the kick I needed to get my butt into gear!

At almost 25 years old, and the upcoming Phillipines holiday, Ive weighed myself at 82kgs which is my all time heaviest. I know that weight loss isnt so much determined by the number on the scales as muscle weighs more than fat, but my weight is made up of more fat than muscle. (I think so anyway)

So, rather than recording only my weight each time I weigh in, Ill also be adding measurements. Ive taken my starting measurements, all in inches, and my starting weight, and I want to see just how much difference I can make in 30 days, then 60 days, with my clean eating diet which I made myself and will share with you all.
I'm no nutritional expert but I think my eating plan looks pretty damn healthy with a good mixture of protein, veges, natural sugars in fruit, and complex carbs.

I had no trouble making up meal ideas, but sticking to it we'll have to see.

Firstly, my starting measurements and weight:
Weight - 82kg
Biceps - 11.5 (inches)
Bust - 38.5
Waist - 32
Hips - 38
Thigh - 24

So, tomorrow, Tuesday 19th March 2013 will be THE day I wake up and start my new life style.
I'll make my first diary entry and let the fat loss begin!! (I hope)

+ DAY THIRTY + Last day before reveal +

Nervous as shit. Tomorrow I've promised myself to reveal my starting weight and measurements and then compare them to my NOW weight and measurements...
I'm petrified because I don't really feel like much has changed. I sure feel healthier and a lot better, but weight/size wise I cant tell much of a difference. Maybe cos I haven't weighed or measured myself since...

+ DAY TWENTY SIX +

Woke up not that hungry and feeling bloated... Maybe its because I had bread twice yesterday??
I feel like going for a long walk but its so damn cold outside...
My stomach hurts from all the crunches I've been doing lately which is a good hurt.. but its hard to get into the motion of doing more.

I'm not sure if I've said this previously in my blog, but I can feel like my stomach and my butt are getting really toned. Underneath the layer of fat I can feel my abs forming hahaha
Not really but my stomach definitely feels firmer than when I started. I just need to control what I eat better as 70% of losing weight is diet, not exercise... (not exact statistics but I read it somewhere I think)

As of Monday 15th, the other receptionist and I are going to cut out sugar. That means no sugar in coffees, I don't struggle with that anyway, NO MORE CHOCOLATE!, no sweets and being careful of what we put in our mouths.
I'm not going to go extreme and read labels on salad dressings and sauces... but the obvious no no foods I will be cutting out.
I have about 4-5 days left before I post my measurements and weight so the last few days I'm gonna kick my bodies ass!

Thursday 11 April 2013

+ DAY TWENTY FOUR +

Still full when I woke up and had stomach cramps for some reason. Its not that time of month or anything, but I feel like after attempting to be so good, and actually eating lots of vegetables and salads, scoffing my face with food at China bar and going over the portion sizes I normally eat has thrown my stomach out of whack.
At least the cramps are decreasing my appetite and not increasing.

BREAKFAST
Mum woke me up this morning with you a bowl of porridge : ) so cute.

Chopped dried apricots (probably wouldn't have put this in myself as they're quite sugary)
Sultanas

Half a freddo frog

LUNCH
Leftover vegetables from last night

Small handful of almonds
4 squares of chocolate. I'm blaming the new girl at work cos shes just as much of a sucker for chocolate as I am and her body can afford to binge (because she has the motivation and determination to workout hardcore EVERY day) which makes it so much harder when I'm trying NOT to eat it.
I'm going to try and get more motivation from her to exercise because shes constantly going for runs and bike rides. Even on her lunch breaks!

DINNER
Chick pea and lentil salad
Spinach
Sundried tomato
Boiled potato still half raw which makes it nice and crispy
Steamed snow peas
Curry sauce

Smoked with jono again and ended up scoffing dark chocolate eggs

4 x reps 25 squats
100 side to side ab thingos (i don't know the name.. basically you sit in a half sit up position, and hold a ball in your hands and move it from left to right, as if you put the ball down next to you then over to the other side.. if that makes sense hahaha)

Tuesday 9 April 2013

+ DAY TWENTY TWO +

Woke up this morning not that hungry. Generally when I wake up in the morning its my first reaction to make myself breakfast.. Sometimes its hard to eat straight away, and I used to have this mentality that if I didn't eat straight away, I'd be able to control what I ate the rest of the day because I managed to go the morning without food. But that's bad because you need to wake your body up and kick start your metabolism with food.

I managed to make breaky anyway, and I have a dinner date with my brother and sister after work at China Bar buffet all you can eat, so I need to slowly stretch my stomach to be able to fit in buffet haha
Back in my 'dont give a shit what I eat' days, whenever we went to China Bar buffet, I would stuff my face and fill myself up with the fried dumplings and spring rolls and rice dishes.
But NOT anymore! I fill myself up with

BREAKFAST
Small bowl of rolled oats, made into porridge
Rice milk
Organic maple syrup
Psyllium husk
Black chia seeds
Low fat natural yoghurt

Large skinny latte no sugar

WATER
2 x 750mL bottle

EXERCISE
no comment : /

LUNCH
4 x Rye vita crackers
Low fat chive & onion cottage cheese
Alfalfa sprouts
Cucumber
1 x can tuna

1/2 instant coffee skim milk no sugar
Skinny me tea loose leaf green tea

DINNER
Went to China Bar buffet tonight. As said, i normally run straight to the fried stuff and rice, but now I crave the healthier options

Small plate of raw fish with ginger and wasabi and soy sauce
1 small sushi piece
2 chicken feet (probably the only thing bad I ate from the buffet, and the dessert lol)
Steamed fish
Broccoli
Sauteed mushrooms
Fresh prawns with tartare sauce
Smoked salmon slices
Slice of orange
1/2 kiwi fruit
1/2 berry panacotta thing
1/2 dipping stick with chocolate

THEN, we went to the movies and for some unknown reason, Jono and my brother decided to get the Xtreme sized popcorn and coke.
How they were still hungry I don't know.
Handful of popcorn (soooo salty)
Shared a large coke zero with Jono

Skinny me tea colon cleanse tea bag

Monday 8 April 2013

+ DAY TWENTY ONE +

New week, empty colon hahaha fresh start! I'm looking more and more forward to each day because I can feel my motivation and control get stronger and stronger.
There have been so many times in the first 2 weeks where I FELT like I was determined and had my mind set on doing this properly, and in reality I'd cave and have hardly any control at all.

Now that I'm about 3 days into my Skinny me tea, I'm starting to feel more cleansed and ready to put in more effort.

BREAKFAST
Shared:
6 egg whites and 2 yolks
Chopped mushrooms
Curry powder
Chilli flakes
1 slice multigrain toast

Large skinny latte no sugar
Large soy latte no sugar

WATER
1 x 750mL bottle

EXERCISE
Walking from station to work... 10 minutes
Lazy lazy lazy

LUNCH
4 x Rye vita crackers
Low fat chive & onion cottage cheese
Alfalfa sprouts
Cucumber
2 x cans tuna

Skinny me tea loose leaf green tea
Handful of small chocolate easter eggs

DINNER
Not feeling so hungry tonight, not sure why because I haven't eaten too much throughout the day...
All I could find in the house was a can of baked beans....
So I chucked them in the microwave and ate them plain.

Sunday 7 April 2013

+ DAY TWENTY + Cheat day +

I feel so good after yesterdays/last nights relaxing 'efforts'. There's nothing that pisses me off more than wasting money on drinks and going out. I dont like spending $20 on a cocktail just to gain calories and not get pissed.
Why bother spending money on 3 drinks when I'm not planning to get drunk?
AND not to mention im a sucker for Baileys on ice on accoasion which is probably the worst if you're on a diet. Oh well I did small exercise to semi work it off so I dont feel as guilty.

Tonight is Jonos parents Easter dinner as we were all away camping over the real Easter and as usual, Sue goes all out with the cooking and offers a buffet selection of food.
Considering Sunday is normally my cheat day I dont feel as guilty eating slightly bad. Although I dont go out and get pizza or cake, Im not usualy that hesitant when it comes to carbs.

BREAKFAST
6 egg whites with 2 yolk
Chopped mushroom
Chopped onion
Spinach
Low fat cottage cheese
- Scrambled in a pan with organic Coconut butter oil
2 x instant coffees with milk and half sugar

WATER
Sadly probably only a few glasses... not good enough

EXERCISE
Walked through the Yarra bend park to Fairfield boathouse... to the car and back was a good 35 minutes
Easter egg hunt contained a few cartwheels and running around trying to race the other to the eggs.. not that I think that really counts considering its chocolate we're hunting for ... derp.

LUNCH
Large skinny latte with an equal.. still full from breakfast although I was sooo tempted to get Devonshire tea at the boathouse. The scones with jam and cream looked soo delicious but we proudly resisted.

600mL bottle of coke zero.

Skinny me tea colon cleanse teabag

DINNER
Appetisers were little rolls of sushi and soy sauce and crackers cheese and dip.
I had 2 smoked salmon pieces of sushi

Thursday 4 April 2013

+ DAY SEVENTEEN +

I don't know why I have no control when it comes to certain foods. I thought I was doing so well and had my mindset in the right place... but when it comes to China Bar, I like to think that I'll order a fish and vegetable dish or just vegetables then I always end up ordering my favourite.
I guess its not pizza or fried food but the amount of MSG and other ingredients they use surely don't help my clean eating.
I feel a bit repetitive saying 'time to start fresh' etc etc... cos I always cave one way or another.
As long as I keep my small amount of exercise up I should be OK.

There's only 2 more weeks until I reveal my weight and measurements :/ I'm a little worried that there wont be much of a difference but I must admit I do feel a lot better and less sluggish than I did before.
